LAUNCH OF THE WORLD'S FIRST GLOBAL, PEOPLE-TO-PEOPLE CONFERENCE EARTH-SHIPİ program will unite the world in order to better address climate change
  • Program is based on many large sailing ships,

  • Ships travel from port to port and country to country
  • Ships funded by private contributions and corporate sponsorship

  • Tax advantaged investment to attract much needed funding
White Plains, NY - Earth Ship, Ltd. today announced the launch of a one-of-a-kind educational awareness program www.earth-ship.org. EARTH-SHIP© is the first global, people-to-people, program the world has ever seen. The purpose of the program is to unite people from around the world and in so doing to focus attention on our most pressing problem(s), the climate change resulting from global warming chief among them.

Earth Ship, Ltd.'s President, Capt. D.C. Anderson says, "Increased global awareness is essential if global change is to ever take place." Anderson also said, "No country working alone can mount a meaningful response to global warming and no government can bring about the degree of change needed without the cooperation of its citizens. That's why we developed the Earth-Ship program." No program prior to EARTH-SHIP has ever attempted to introduce a mechanism to unite the world's people to address global issues."

The program is based on a large sailing ship. Eventually there will be many such ships, each with a professional crew of about 25 sailors. Each ship will be sponsored by a different multinational. Each corporation will use the unique tax-advantage system of sponsorship/donation Anderson developed. The ships will travel continuously from port to port. (Note: See map below) In each port the university traveling on the ship will coordinate with the university in the host port. A large pep-rally like event will be staged. There will be food, music, speeches, lectures and meetings between like-minded people and government officials. (more)

Live video conferencing brings the world together
EARTH-SHIP will be The New World Wide Web

This will be followed by a live video conferencing event staged on the ship's main deck. During this event three other locations from around the world will be on the LVC screen along with the people on the ship. A general discussion between the participants will ensue. The end result will be a sense of increased world unity. To learn more about the universities, corporations and organization that support he EARTH-SHIP movement refer to our web site www.earth-ship.org and click on the link for Endorsements.

"Increased awareness will work," said Anderson. One of example of global cooperation for global change happened when it was discovered that CFCs were depleting the ozone layer he pointed out. There is only a hand full of companies in the world that manufacturer CFCs. These companies were called to a meeting in Montreal, Canada and there they all agreed to stop producing CFC.

Corporations will be anxious to be a part of this program due in part to the unique structure of this opportunity. The President of Earth Ship, Ltd, Capt. D.C. Anderson, has developed an unprecedented manner that will allow corporations to be investors, sponsors and donors, all at the same time but without violating the Partial Interest Rule.
